Not all girls are made of sugar, spice and everything nice😏😏. Some girls are made of adventure, herbs, brains and no fear. I am some girls. In this event, I wake up in the morning not knowing what is gonna happen or who I am gonna meet but I couldn’t resist the call of the trail and into the forest I make my way, to lose my mind and find my soul😌.
I am more of a dark rainy day person compared to a bright sunny day and anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain, not that I have, but I would surely love to😜. Sir Rannulph said that there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing and on this particular day,I wished someone could have advised me to have a large sweater; soft woolen socks etc🤦♀️. But does being cold make me sick? No. However, I wouldn’t advise anyone to come up here with summer attire during winter for its cold. For a moment I thought of Alaska’s weather and mahn snowmen there probably take coffee😂.
Aberdare cottages and fishing lodge was going to be home for the next 2 days and 1 night. This would be my first time to visit this part of the country and I was going to go back and talk about this beautiful😍 country side and encourage people to travel.
Spending time at the Aberdare cottages, I must say was an awesome experience💯. They have clearly put a lot of thought in creating a cozy welcoming space for the guests and clients. I was impressed with all the staff within the cottage. I never stopped smiling from the time I arrived to when I left. Our room was spacious, tidy and very comfortable, the view from our balcony was of trees and bush, and it felt like we were the only people staying there, very relaxing. The night was like a perfection of thought. The food was amazing. The location could not be better; the people could not be friendlier and I honestly have not had as much fun as I did. Our guide was the best and I could not change anything about the trip. I am happy to say I will come back to Aberdare cottages, a truly hidden gem☺!

Of the paths you take,make sure a few of them are of dirt coz at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and eyes sparkling.
Lets go hiking he said, it will be fun he said. well, everyone needs someone who will call and say “lets get dressed”, we are going on an adventure.
For a moment I thought We were in the garden and he was Adam and She was Eve😂.
The best views comes after the hardest climb!
The Aberdares are the third highest range of mountains in Kenya, reaching a summit of just over 4000m. This massive range is well known for its thick salient forests, and their prolific game.These high altitude forests are broken by moorlands and plains, and through the abundant tree cover there are sensational views of the Rift Valley and the peak of Mt Kenya.The forest is a hidden world of wildlife. The thick vegetation provides perfect cover for countless species.Very large herds of Elephant and Buffalo move almost silently through the undergrowth, while overhead noisome birds and colobus monkeys dominate the canopy.At night the forest comes alive, the cries of hyrax and the distinctive rasping growl of leopard echoing among the trees. Night sees an unending procession of game emerge from the forests to visit these clearings.
It doesn’t matter where you are going, it’s who you have beside you😊. The Aberdares are a great place for waterfalls.
