You will be picked from a designated place in Nairobi and transferred to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to Lodwar airstrip.
On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel to refresh then check in. Later, the Guests will be taken to several villages near Lodwar town thereafter, return back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, they will have a whole afternoon in the pool and at around 4pm, they will visit the Lodwar basket market, National Museum of Kenya where Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the 1st President of Kenya and the famous Kapenguria 5 were temporarily detained. A visit to the Christ the Redeemer shrine which is located at the Catholic Diocese of Lodwar is a must too. This site gives the best sunset sceneries west of Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the Cradle Tented Camp.
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will visit one of Turkana village or a traditional homestead in order to experience the culture of Turkana. Known for raising camels and weaving baskets, the Turkanas in their oral traditions, designate themselves as the people of the grey bull, after the zebu domestication which played an important role in their history.
After experiencing the life and the culture of the Turkana people, you will proceed and arrive in the fishing semi urban Centre of Kalokol. Kalokol is a fish landing site where fishermen dock in the early hours of the morning after a whole night fishing expedition. It has a very clear view of Lake Turkana. You will then board a speed boat and proceed to the Central Island National Park. Duration is 40 minutes.
Central Island National Park forms one of Lake Turkana Heritage site which are inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Known as ‘the land of smoke and fire, Central Island National park is only 5kms square and comprises of 3 volcanoes and many smaller volcanic cones, as well as three major crater lakes- Crocodile lake, Flamingo lake and Tilapia Lake. Although the vegetation is sparse, the stark views are hauntingly beautiful. Around 14,000 crocodiles gather here during breeding season, making this one African largest and most accessible natural crocodile nursery, however, even during the rest of the year, guests will find a high concentration of them around. After the hike and proper tour of the 3 lakes, lunch will be served at the KWS picnic site thereafter a brief rest before you proceed to Longelech beach via the same speed boat.

Upon arrival at Longelech beach, the guests will have the opportunity to swim the whole afternoon amidst cool breeze from the Lake. Both soft and hard drinks will be served upon request. At around 1700hrs, you will depart Longelech beach and proceed back to The Cradle.

You will arrive at the Cradle at around 1800 hrs. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Cradle.
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will leave for Turkana Boy further north of Lodwar. This journey takes close to 3hrs.
Turkana Boy, also called Nariokotome Boy, is the name given to a fossil, a nearly complete skeleton of a Homo erectus (Homo ergaster) youth who lived at 1.5 to 1.6 million years ago. This specimen is the most complete early human skeleton ever found. It was discovered in 1984 by Kamoya Kimeu, a member of a team led by Richard Leakey, at Nariokotome near Lake Turkana in Kenya. The local community has, however, embraced it as one of their own and even nicknamed the fossil Brian Ekiru, and appointed a family that shares the surname to have the fossil as one of their children. The once-neglected rocky village in Turkana County is gaining international recognition after a monument, with a replica of the world’s most complete early hominid ever discovered, was erected. The monument at Nariokotome village is attracting local and international scholars, reviving Kenya’s fame as the epicentre of human studies on evolution.
Parked lunch will be served at the site thereafter guests will depart back to Lodwar for dinner and overnight stay at the Cradle tented camp.
After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi.
