CARNIVORE RESTAURANT: Nice To Meat You

When someone asks about my carvings, I just yell a game animal’s name and hope the meat will fall off😂😂. Meat isn’t murder as most consider it, it’s delicious and one of the reasons why I love vegetarians is because this means more meat for me😜. “You have just given me food that my food eats😒” mostly what I say when given veggies.

Carnivore is an open-air restaurant in the Lang’ata suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. Carnivore’s specialty is meat, and features an all-you-can-eat meat buffet 😋😋. They serve a wide variety of meat and were famous for their game meat until Kenya imposed a ban on the sale of game meat in 2004.

There is also a “Simba Saloon” night club on the premises with a capacity of 2,500, as well as an internet cafe, playground, and six bars. The restaurant holds concerts featuring local artists for instance Churchill live show.

Carnivore is owned by Martin Dunford of the Tamarind Group. It was opened in 1980 by Dunford, his wife, and a group of partners. Dunford opened Carnivore, inspired by the Rodízio concept of Brazilian churrascaria steak houses.

The Tamarind Group operates Tamarind seafood restaurants in Mombasa and Nairobi. There are also similar restaurants named Carnivore, owned by the same people, on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa, and in Cairo, Egypt.

Since September 1980, Carnivore Restaurant has been satisfying the appetites of meat lovers and safari adventurers with a never-ending selection of ostrich, crocodile; venison depending on what is locally available, served alongside beef, lamb, pork and chicken.

A variety of side dishes complete this gastronomical tour of African cuisine, such as salads, soups, vegetable dishes and authentic sauces. The experience is enhanced by the informal, relaxed setting while gulping a cocktail to hydrate, refresh and sharpen your palate for every delicious meal.

Loving animals means loving all animals not only the ones that share a home with us. Using conservation as a justification for indulging a desire to hunt and kill is dishonest and unsupported. Being a meat lover doesn’t mean killing of animals each and every time for meat. I love meat but I love my planet the most. I will therefore enjoy meat once, or twice at most a week or rather advise you to eat it on occasion. How hard can it be😊😊?
