Things to do in the National Park
1 Lumo community wildlife sanctuary
This sanctuary is adjacent to Tsavo west national park and Taita hills wildlife sanctuary.
It’s a host to leopard, elephant, Maasai lion, Maasai giraffe, cape buffalo, and much other wildlife and also a great diversity of birdlife.
It is owned by three community ranches whose first letters were used to come up with the name ‘Lumo’
2. Mzima springs
They are a series of four magnificent natural springs that are a must-see.
It is a perfect isolated habitat for hippos and crocodiles that live in the water pool of the springs.
3. Shetani lava flow
This lava flow is believed to have been formed 100 years ago due to volcanic eruptions.
