Overview
Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, often called “Naivasha’s best-kept secret” is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya, a peninsula surrounded by water only accessible by boat from the East and Westside.
The Island is located in the middle of the lake with miles of walking trails and abundant wildlife that provides a 360-degree view of Mt. Longonot to Hell’s Gate to the Mau Escarpment to Eburu and onto the Aberdares, the view simply blows your mind away.
For bird lovers, bring along your binoculars as there is plenty of birdlife to watch while experiencing close wildlife encounters and a boat ride around Lake Naivasha.

Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Crescent Island game Sanctuary, Lake Naivasha
- Picks guests at their Nairobi hotel/ residence at 0630hrs. Guests will be met and assisted by our Team Leader (s) / driver-guide then travel out of the city toward the Great African Rift Valley. Before long, the urban city streets are replaced with the green of the Kikuyu highlands, and the eastern cliffs of the valley come into view.
- Stop at a vantage Great Rift Valley View Point to gaze out over the rift valley floor, and learn about its geology from your guide. Formed some five million years ago, the rift cuts through Tanzania, Kenya, and Ethiopia on its way from the Red Sea. The area is ripe with volcanic activity, and you’ll see lakes, and even Mount Suswa as you cast your eyes over the plains.
- A brief and scheduled stopover and enter into the smallest church in Kenya.
- Take a boat ride for 1hr exploration around Lake Naivasha before we cross to Crescent Island. The boat ride takes you to see the hundreds of birds in this lake including the diving African fish eagle which dives in the water to catch fish without ever missing. You will also go to the hippo pool and see the hippos as they swim and bleat inside the water while opening their mouths to over 180 degrees.
- Check-in at the Island & do Guided walking, trailing, and picnicking on the island
- Check out of the Island and head out for lunch at a local fish-eating joint along the shores of Lake Naivasha.
- After lunch proceeds for an afternoon cycling adventure at Hell’s Gate National Park after which guests will be transferred to their residence for the night. Depending on timings, a visit to Mvuke Spa, Olkaria Geothermal Spa would be ideal.
- In the evening, guests will be transferred to your hotel/camp/resort.

Day 2: Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, Naivasha
- Early morning breakfast is served before we depart for Crater Lake Game Sanctuary which should be a few kilometers from your residence in Naivasha.
- Upon arrival, guests check-in at the sanctuary, proceeded by a 1hr team bonding, fun, and games session facilitated by our professional team building facilitator with a brief introduction by the guide.
- The guide will then lead the group on a guided trail to the rim of Lake Sonachi (Crater Lake) enjoying a trail along the steep but diminutive crater rim. The volcano crater lake is fringed with acacias and is highly regarded by the local Maasai who believes its alkaline waters help soothe ailing cattle.
Several wild animals can be spotted across the conservancy including gazelle, giraffe, zebra, eland, baboon, buffaloes, and black and white colobus monkeys. Enjoy impressive birds of over 150 species, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles among other wildlife on the plains surrounding the crater.
The sanctuary houses the famous hilltop grave crater lake game sanctuary is 10,000 acres and houses the famous hilltop grave where Happy Valley’s tragic heroine, Lady Diana Delamere, is buried with her last two husbands, Gilbert Colvile and Thomas Delamere. - At the end of the trail, guests hop in their vehicle for a short Game drive through the plains of the sanctuary to the shores of Lake Naivasha after which we should drive back as we head out of the sanctuary heading out for lunch at a local fish-eating joint along the shores of Lake Naivasha.
- Return back to your respective hotel.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Day 3: Team Building Activities & Relaxation
This will be the check-out day. Guests will check out after breakfast but can relax around the facility and enjoy the facility and its amenities like swimming at the pool, gym e.t.c (dependent on the facility of stay) before noon.
Guests can opt for an optional and self-sponsored lunch at the facility before departing for Nairobi at 1400hrs
Arrive and drop off in Nairobi in the evening by 1630hrs
